There is an interesting new competitive fishing format available now.Here is how it works.You pay 18.00 in fees.This enters you for one week.During that week, you can fish as often as you wish, and for many different species.The minimum lengths are about the same as Michigan Master Angler lengths.For example, the minimum length for large mouth bass is 22 inches.If you boat one that length or greater, you photo it with a digital camera on a slap stick, or ruler.You take one additional photo of the fish.You then get a certain number of points for the minimum length, and additional points for every 1/4 inch greater than that.If the fish you submit has the greatest amount of points for that week, you get 500.00.Just about every legal fish in Michigan is included.

The money i could make if i only bought that bass boat that was forsale on here. I was going to buy it but the seller just would not let the garden hose go with the boat. Some people just can't get rid of possessions.

This idea is ripe for fraud....i could win using photoshop and never get a line wet.

like ive said repeatedly folks, you can buy fish at the store....u can get a good meals worth for $18 bucks, too.....

Here is a little more info on this.They do have measures in place to make cheating difficult.For one, you are given a code on the day you fish which must be in the picture.They also use software to detect any manipulations of the photos.

I also found this type of contest is not really unique.There is another organization called bounty fishing which has thousands of members, and have been doing this type of competition for quite some time.
