not much of a foreign man here as almost entire family worked for GM, but I do like the outback solid vehicles. I am not a jeep fan, friend has one and it always seems outdated and dirty..I guess it depends what you like. To me some of the off road stuff is not very practical.

Always a sign of old age when someone calls the fun stuff not practical.

Has anyone heard anything good or bad on the forth coming Chevy SUVs that will burn both corn fuel and gasoline?

I think we will need Smitty's vehicle skillz here

and no doubt Tim, but I hear what Jeremy is saying. If it was just for my wife I wouldn't go with a more "serious" off road vehicle (she will stick with a mini-van which she loves), but when I have a vehicle that can do it I actually do some light off roading on logging trails, etc. It is nice to have a vehicle that can handle the drive to work and do some off roading once in a while too.

That is the great thing about technology. The old CJ's were monsters from the factory off road, but you took your life in your hands driving them on the highway. Today, you can have your off road and your 90 mph cruiser on the highway too.

sure enough ....

E85 (vehicles that burn 85% ethanol...primarily from corn, and just 15% gas) are a great idea. They are helping our nation lessen it's dependance on foreign oil. It also is supposed to provide better performance and burn cleaner.

I have family in Minnesota where it is state law that fuel have Ethanol in it. They have been using it for years, even before there were these new vehicles that are promoting it. Although they have been at well under 85% ethanol in the mix, I think they have been at around 10%.

I think that areas with high pollution will start going to ethanol mixtures in the near future.

Final verdict: I am totally for it ..... screw the Middle-East.
